Unlock that effortless, cool-girl look with just a few simple steps.  The slicked back bun was the trend we all were waiting for, and it looks like it’s going to stick around for a while. Not only does the slicked look leave you looking lifted and ready for anything, but it’s also a great little cheat code to get us through our greasier, flatter hair days. 

The model off duty bun looks great with just about anything - a going-out outfit, business attire, or even a sweatsuit. Pair it with some bold jewelry and you’ll be ready to take on whatever the day can throw your way.

GET THE LOOK

STEP ONE

You want to get started by wetting / moussing the hair at the top of your head and at  the nape of your neck to get it semi-damp in order for it to begin to hold a shape.

STEP TWO

Once your hair has some weight to it, form and brush it back into your desired placement (low ponytail, middle or high). Loosely secure with a hair tie. Once the hair is mostly in place and secured, you now want to go in with your heavier styling products such as a gel, light hairspray or waxing stick.

STEP THREE

Time to perfect! It’s best to use a soft bristle brush to intertwine the product with your hair while slicking it back.
